The survey was conducted on 7,975 persons who used the Flo app and evaluated the severity of four reported symptoms: feeling depressed, being irritated, feeling anxious and physically and mentally exhausted.The study contrasted the experiences of women, aged at 35+, across 20 countries. The severity of each psychological symptom was assessed by the Menopause Rating Scale (MRS), a widely used clinical questionnaire for menopause study, with the participants rating the severity of each item. The psychological domain score is a sum of each symptom, with scores ranging from 0 to 16. Scores are higher at higher levels of symptom severity.The psychological domain score of women in the perimenopause group was 7.3, which was 1.5 times higher than that of women in the premenopause group (4.8).
