Rodriguez said Lopez started the group to support local businesses that operate from home.A China-supported two-week training program for more than 60 South African women entrepreneurs has opened in Johannesburg, focusing on business skills, entrepreneurship development and new cooperation opportunities. The program is designed to connect women business owners with Chinese and South African business communities, aims to enhance women's economic engagement and build professional and business networks.The training program began on September 29 and was attended by approximately 100 participants from the business, education and media sectors in China and South Africa, as well as entrepreneurs. The Johannesburg workshop is part of the Global Female Entrepreneurs Empowerment Program (GFEEP), a capacity building program organized by Beijing Foreign Studies University.Former African Union Commission Chairperson Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma addressed the opening ceremony and highlighted the importance of women's contribution to Africa's development. Countries cannot reach their potential without tapping into the talent and capabilities of women. She also encouraged the participating entrepreneurs to learn from China's development experience and apply those insights to strengthening their businesses."We have to build the Africa we want," Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma said. MILE ONE TO HOST MADE IN LAREDO EVENT FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURSWOMEN'S ENTREPRENEURSHIPAt the Conference of Wonder Women 2026 at BAFTA, London, October 1, the senior women leaders of the UK Television industry and the creative industry addressed the increasing challenges faced by the production industry.The speakers discussed rapid growth of online streaming changing the nature of TV industry, opening up new prospects but also playing a large part in the dramatic shrinkage of the production industry in the UK. In this context, there was great emphasis on the importance of increased cooperation within the industry, investments in creative personnel, focusing on women's leadership in particular.Michelle stated that the producer's job has been completely transformed from being `just winning commissions' to now `winning audiences.' Since viewers have established increasingly personal connections with the creators and on-screen talent, producers are now expected to craft content that goes beyond just the show. The audience is demanding more media access and authenticity, especially in the non-scripted arena. This development clearly signifies that the focus has shifted more towards audience strategy and talent relations and engagement.
