Her vision to begin her own firm was driven by the urge for creativity and substance collaboration, principles that have remained constant throughout her career.

How has your decade-long journey in Poland’s legal space been?

The last decade of my professional life has been both inspiring and intense. I have had the opportunity to participate in complex investment and construction projects, which I have found very rewarding, particularly when I can see the tangible, material results of my efforts.

One can see the impact of my work as a legal advisor on specific investment projects like premium residential apartments, warehouses classified as A+ and other  commercial objects, renovation of monumental valuable tenements, participation process of delivery of extremely valuable components from every part of world or modernisation of rail stations.

I put my heart and soul into every project I work on and for me, excellently completing each one is a major milestone.

What inspired you to start ALICJA SŁAWIŃSKA AS LAW FIRM? What’s the vision behind it?

ALICJA SŁAWIŃSKA AS LAW FIRM is a boutique legal practice specialising in real estate, investment transactions and the construction process. The firm advises on the full investment cycle—from preparation and implementation to commercialisation — serving developers, investment funds, and other stakeholders.

The firm offers corporate legal services, including setting up corporate structures, participating in sophisticated contractual negotiations and implementing compliance policies tailored to each client. Known for handling complex, high-stakes projects, the firm works with both international and local clients, combining legal expertise with creativity to deliver effective, risk managed solutions.

"Establishing fruitful business connections and providing an excellent legal and business service are the best forms of advertising on the market"

What key areas of specialization have you developed as a legal professional over the years?

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients and management models, contributing to complex investment projects involving real estate acquisitions, industrial, residential, warehouse, hotel, logistics developments, advanced component supply chain management, as well as infrastructure ventures like express roads. As a legal advisor, I’ve represented developers, funds, contractors, investors and tenants — both local Polish companies and international clients with foreign capital.

My work has taken me across the globe—from London and Luxembourg to China, Spain, the USA, Dubai and throughout Poland—offering me deep insight into international business practices. Beyond work, I’ve always been drawn to diverse cultures, and the desire for creativity and meaningful collaboration inspired me to start my own firm.

Of course, you should always focus on achieving optimal solutions in a professional manner, and you must be assertive in your approach. Discovering potential in collaborative lawyers can be very challenging, but also extremely satisfying and this process sometimes resembles the management of potential resources. It can also be rewarding to involve or recommend someone for projects that require specific cooperation.

Which milestones have been most memorable in your journey? What drives your continued success?

My journey hasn’t been defined by mantras or dramatic milestones — though moving from Gdynia to Warsaw was a pivotal step. Working with diverse international clients and unconventional business models has enriched my perspective on leadership and business dynamics. I thrive on the constant curiosity and energy that come with tackling new legal and operational challenges.

Currently, I’m engaged in providing comprehensive legal services to a dynamic Swiss-Polish company, which I find both fascinating and fulfilling, especially when the impact is appreciated. For me, it’s about maintaining a professional appetite for exploration, growth and meaningful collaboration.

How is Poland’s legal landscape evolving? How are you adapting?

I actively involve the attorneys I work with in all aspects of client projects—from property due diligence to commercialisation, financial modelling, and corporate structuring. I always encourage them to stay flexible and open-minded, aligning with the client’s vision above all. These may not be groundbreaking insights, but they’re effective. While I keep an eye on market trends like AI, I currently choose not to adopt them in my practice. One of the best parts of conducting your own firm is having the freedom to follow your own instincts—something I rely on in both my personal and professional life.
