Walk us through the most defining moments and key influences in your professional journey?

During my time as a facilitator at the 100 Leaders by WBECS event, I had the privilege of connecting with Dr Oleg Konovalov, a globally respected expert in the Visionary Leadership. At a pivotal moment in my professional journey, when I was reflecting on transitioning from my role as a general director to something more purpose-driven, his invitation to become a Visionary came as a meaningful affirmation. It was the right opportunity at the right time, and I chose to embrace it fully.

Engaging with the visionary leadership program redefined the trajectory of my professional life. It illuminated the significance of the work, as I had already been mentoring executives and entrepreneurs, not as a side endeavour, but as my life’s mission. Through the program, I found a powerful synthesis between passion and purpose, allowing me to fully step into the role of a visionary leadership coach and create lasting value for those around me. Take us through your expansive professional journey and key areas of expertise.

Entering the workforce young, I navigated the corporate landscape of Latin America with resilience and adaptability. As a sole woman in many executive rooms, I focused on shared goals and strategic leadership, which propelled me to the role of General Director at a leading telecommunication holding. After years of growth and transformation, I transitioned into consulting by founding my own company to support others on a similar journey, driven by the belief that hard work can lead to tangible success.

When authenticity meets collaboration and passion, shared wisdom becomes a source of mutual empowerment

My recent consulting work has focused on helping SMEs in Mexico, particularly family-owned and partner-led businesses, navigate the challenges of unstructured growth. I have been brought in to design governance models, align leadership teams, and provide strategical clarity, becoming an integral voice in executive decision-making and long-term planning.

Introduce us to Vento Estrategias de Negocios.

Vento Estrategias de Negocios initially partnered with external experts for leadership and training programs, but those collaborations were short-lived. Today, the company operates solely under my leadership and personal brand, Diana N. Dücker, with a firm commitment to transparency. The name Vento draws inspiration from the wind, which is a powerful force that symbolizes change, strength, and perseverance.

As an executive coach, what strategies or methodologies do you leverage to achieve positive outcomes for your clients?

The key to leadership is presence and active listening to the needs of others. I work closely with individuals to understand their current environment and challenges. With patience and adaptability, I help them recognize their potential and navigate the next steps in their journey. My guidance is always tailored to their unique situation, empowering them to move forward with clarity and confidence.

What key challenges do you encounter as a business coach and how do you navigate through these roadblocks?

One of the primary hurdles in executive coaching is dealing with individuals who are reluctant to be coached, despite their role requiring it. My approach is to first demonstrate the tangible benefits of coaching, persuading them to see its value without forcing the process. This requires skilful navigation and patience, as my goal is to shift perspectives and ultimately earn their buy-in. In my experience, even convincing one individual to embrace coaching can be a significant achievement. Many initially resist due to a lack of understanding, but once they recognize its value, the coaching journey becomes much more seamless. The real challenge lies in exercising patience and persistence to help them realize the benefits and move forward effectively. Of course, when people perceive successful changes in their business and personal life, they believe in coaching, and become the best recommendation to other in order to be coached.

As a business leader, what has your ‘success mantra’ been?

Driven by deep commitment to impactful leadership, my goal has always been to positively influence those around me. Earning their trust and collaboration has become both a responsibility and a motivating force, challenging me to lead with integrity. Continuously learning from them, I ensure that every decision I make supports and aligns with their best interests and long-term business goals. Delivering measurable results and earning a seat at the table in key business discussions is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work.

How do you foresee the business coaching landscape evolving in the Mexican business landscape?

In Mexico, coaching has matured into a vital component of its evolving business transformation. In a climate of constant change, coaching becomes a catalyst for growth and reinvention. National transformation starts at both the individual and organizational levels. When leaders embrace coaching, they develop better habits, build stronger teams, and create more agile organizations. In doing so, they actively contribute to Mexico’s broader progress. Even in times of volatility, coaching offers the mindset and tools to adapt, evolve, and lead with purpose.
