Over the past decade, I have built experience across technology, project management, and operations leadership, each strengthening my core capabilities. My technical background enhanced my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, while project management refined my expertise in stakeholder management, negotiation, and self-discipline.

A key influence was a mentor who emphasized presenting solutions with an identified problem rather than talking about the problems alone, this shaped my leadership style and the expectations I set for my teams. Additionally, representing my organization at the European Chamber of Commerce broadened my global exposure and strengthened my understanding of strategic business engagements.

ARCO WORLDWIDE SERVICES., a subsidiary of ARCO GROUP PLC with over four decades of legacy, operates across multiple sectors, with a core focus on drone surveillance solutions.

The company collaborates with leading oil and gas firms in Nigeria, including Shell, Chevron, and TotalEnergies, delivering advanced inspection and monitoring of pipelines and critical infrastructure. As an early entrant in Nigeria’s drone services space, it has evolved into a recognized market leader.

As COO, I focus on translating the CEO’s strategic vision into operational outcomes. I oversee day-to-day operations, ensure cross-functional efficiency, and drive the execution of key business objectives, ensuring seamless organizational performance.

What are the fundamentals of building operational efficiency, especially in today’s volatile business environment?

Operational efficiency is fundamentally driven by robust systems and well-defined processes. In my experience, most business challenges stem from gaps in processes, whether due to weak policies, inadequate monitoring, or poor compliance structures.

One of the most complex challenges I face is managing people, as individuals bring diverse perspectives and conflicts often stem from misunderstandings rather than real issues. I address this through empathy and active listening, ensuring every viewpoint is acknowledged while guiding discussions toward constructive solutions aligned with business goals.

My approach focuses on alignment rather than proving others wrong. Equally important is identifying root causes of issues, as symptoms are often mistaken for actual problems; asking the right questions helps uncover the truth. I also remain open to being wrong, when necessary, as it sharpens my thinking and strengthens long-term decision-making.

What key milestones and achievements are you most proud of? What is your success mantra?

One of my most notable achievements was leading a swift organizational restructuring early in my tenure at ARCO WORLDWIDE SERVICES. By closely evaluating processes and team structures, I identified inefficiencies and introduced changes that continue to deliver lasting impact, while also strengthening trust and confidence across the organization.

My success mantra is rooted in acceptance and accountability. I focus on taking responsibility for outcomes, controlling what is within my reach, and accepting what is beyond it. I believe in continuous self-improvement, viewing success as a balance of resilience, clarity, and perspective.

How do you foresee the global operations landscape evolving in the near future?
