During the "Intergenerational Female Leadership" session, Gabriela García, Communication Head, ABB Mexico, emphasized establishing networks of support and cooperation between women from various generations.

The firm introduced a number of programs to increase women's participation, particularly at leadership levels. They include the Global Women Leadership Program which is designed to develop women leadership potential for key leadership positions.

ABB has set a target to increase the proportion of women in global leadership to 25 percent in 2030 from the current 22 percent.

In Mexico, ABB operates the Next Gen Program, which encourages secondary, vocational, and high school students to study for careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM).

The program includes presentations and interactions with women leaders of ABB, broadening the career understanding of students in the field of technology.

As part of its partnerships in the education sector, ABB also integrates robotics and new technologies into collaborative ventures, seeing such partnerships as a means of closer aligning technical education with the dynamic demands of the jobs market.
