Accenture Partners with WTA to Advance Women's Tennis

The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) and Accenture (NYSE: ACN) have formed a long-lasting partnership that will help develop and improve the player experience for all of WTA’s athletes while developing WTA’s future direction. With this new partnership between Accenture as the Official Business and Technology Consulting Partner of the WTA, Accenture will leverage its industry-leading technology and artificial intelligence  capabilities and WTA’s commitment to being an athlete-first, governance body to support WTA at its core.

Accenture and WTA will work collaboratively to build a modernized digital ecosystem for the WTA Tour Driven by Mercedes-Benz to provide new levels of intelligence, connectivity, and data-driven insights on the WTA Tour.

As an initial project of the partnership, WTA and Accenture will work together to enhance the WTA Player Zone, which is the central digital platform where every player interacts with WTA. The WTA Player Zone will be enhanced to become a fully integrated, data-driven, intuitive hub, allowing players to streamline their interactions with WTA’s digital assets through the application of advanced technologies including AI, allowing players to interact with the WTA’s digital assets in ways they are used to outside of tennis, and allowing for critical information to be available to players in a more easily consumable manner, allowing players to focus their attention on performing their best when interacting with the WTA Player Zone.

The aim of this document is to create an environment where all tennis players, especially females, receive equal opportunity to compete and be successful. Additionally, through this partnership, we hope to make it easier than ever before for athletes around the world to develop their skills, gain access to training, advance their careers, and achieve success as tennis professionals.

Most importantly, by focusing on the player experience at the outset, this partnership lays the groundwork for further innovation and growth opportunities for the WTA tour and beyond. In turn, these activities will help reach new audiences and enhance the overall experience of attending live WTA events worldwide.
