ACWF Celebrates International Women's Day & Honors Role Models

• The All China Women's Federation (ACWF) met in Beijing to commemorate International Women's Day
• The event recognized female role models in China
• The event awarded 607 people, 400 groups, and 600 workplaces

To commemorate International Women's Day (IWD) on March 8, the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) organized a special celebration to honor many of China's prominent female leaders from coast to coast, as well as to recognize their efforts in society.

At the celebratory gathering held at ACWF headquarters, 607 individual award recipients as well as awards presented to 400 different organizations and 600 workplaces were in attendance.

Paul Shen, State Councillor for the People's Republic of China, provided an address to the award recipients as well as all women regardless of their background or ethnicity.

He also issued a call for all women across the country to take part in making a quality future for China through their participation in the implementation of China's 15th Five Year Plan (2026 to 2030).

Additionally, he requested that all women engage with global governance and share their views and ideas on women's issues to ensure that the Chinese perspective is reflected in all global representations of women and to assist in the development of humankind.
