Al-Bayda Launches Women's Training Program for Handicraft Skills

The Women’s Training and Development Center of the Al-Bayda municipal council has launched its first training course, focusing on a range of handicraft skills. The initiative is among the center’s early activities and aims to equip women with practical skills that can support employment or help them establish small businesses.

Fatima Gleish, a member of the Al-Bayda municipal council, told the Libyan News Agency that the course represents the start of the center’s training programs. She said participants are being introduced to various handicraft skills designed to help them build their abilities and continue developing them after completing the course.

According to Fatima, the programs are designed to empower women with practical, job-oriented skills that can be used for personal development or entrepreneurial activities. The center is focusing on hands-on training while tailoring its courses to the needs and interests of women in the local community.

The center will also conduct more classes in other sectors, providing women with more learning opportunities in the near future, she added. The course now is the beginning of a more extensive program of continuous training, Fatima emphasized.
