Sweetgreen, Inc. (NYSE: SG), a restaurant business on a mission to connect people with real food, today announced the retirement of Mitch Reback, and the appointment of Jamie McConnell, about five months from today, September 22, 2025, as Chief Financial Officer.
Mitch will retire on September 21, 2025, and Jamie's appointment will take effect on the following day on September 22. Mitch will offer advisory support for a period of six months to facilitate a transition.
Since 2015, she had been Sweetgreen's CFO and assisted in establishing the company's financial foundation, while navigating the company through defining moments in its history, including its IPO.
Mitch has developed and established a strong financial foundation, with focus on enabling the company to have meaningful financial flexibility to invest in and procure long-term, profitable growth.
Jonathan Neman, Co-Founder and CEO of Sweetgreen, thanked Mitch for the contributions he has made in his work with Sweetgreen, much of which has centered on fortifying the company's finances and organizational culture.
Jamie brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience in the restaurant, retail, and e-commerce sectors and was most recently Chief Accounting and Administrative Officer at Chipotle.
Previously, the seasoned executive served in senior finance positions at Aviation Capital Group, Rent-A-Center, Allergan, and Deloitte. Jamie earned a B.S. in Accounting at the University of Southern California.
As a part of her new appointment, Jamie will concentrate on expanding Sweetgreen, sustainable growth and value creation for all stakeholders.
