Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka played against one another in an incredible final match at the BNP Paribas Open, with Aryna winning her first title ever by a score of 3-6, 6-3, 7-6(6).

With this title, she earned her 23rd career title and made history as the first-ever female to win consecutive championships at the BNP Paribas Open.

The first set was one-sided; Elena broke the Aryna service and took a 4-2 lead and, by using a strategy that involved hitting to her backhand all the time, put herself in a position to win. For the first time in this tournament, Aryna did not win a set.

In the second set, Elena broke the service to gain an early lead, but Sabalenka was able to regain her form and take the second set by a score of 6-3.

There were many ups and downs during the final set tie-breaking match, with Elena at one point leading 3-1 and gradually, Aryna worked her way back into the set, tying the score and then taking a very short lead in the third set.

However, during a very tense situation to end the set, Elena managed to tie Aryna at 6-6, thus forcing a tie-break, which she ultimately won by a score of 8-6. After the last point of the match, Aryna displayed multiple thoughts and emotions.
