Canon Middle East formally began the second part of its 'Women Who Empower' initiative in partnership with the Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC). This project has been initiated with the aim of promoting and empowering women in the print and imaging companies by way of professional training programs, mentorship initiatives, and business networking workshops.

In accordance with the International Women's Day 2025 theme "Accelerate Action" and the UAE's "Year of Community" focus on community, the programme aims at building stronger, more inclusive communities. The very best leaders at Canon and DBWC attended the launch ceremony, reflecting their respective endorsement of supporting women professionals.

Venkatasubramanian (Subbu) Hariharan, Managing Director of Canon Middle East and Türkiye, underscored Canon's dedication to inclusivity and community building: “Women Who Empower’ reflects our dedication to diversity and women's advancement. Guided by our philosophy of Kyosei – living and working together for the common good – we’re proud to expand this initiative and provide even more meaningful opportunities for women to grow, connect, and lead.”

Season 2 of the program will feature three focused modules: Photography: Led by Canon Ambassador Jorge Ferrari, this module discusses photography fundamentals, visual storytelling, and practical shooting techniques. Content Creation: Guided by Dubai-based content creator Jhon Ruzz Merca, this module discusses video creation, editing, and monetizing content strategies. Print: Led by Ayman Aly, Canon's B2B Marketing Director, the print module provides an overview of the digital printing sector, trends, and business opportunities.

Lasting from April 17 to June 16, the program is a combination of theory and practical classes for every module, portfolio building, and a final ceremony where the participants will present their output and will be given awards.

Canon will facilitate the program through the donation of top-notch imaging and printing equipment and professional trainers. The top-performing participants will receive Canon products and highlighted on the company's official platforms, where they will have their creativity and talent shared with more people.

Through 'Women Who Empower', Canon leads in imaging innovation and develops women's leadership, creativity, and contribution to the development of a better society.
