By: Global Woman Leader Team | Friday, 23 October 2026

The Central Coast Mariners are preparing to celebrate the return of their women’s team to home competition with the official launch of the Mariners Club on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The event will bring together local football fans and families for an afternoon of entertainment, food and activities alongside the team’s first home game of the 2026/27 Ninja A-League Women season.

Located at the former Gosford City Bowling Club site on Dane Drive, Gosford, the Mariners Club is a new community venue established by Holman Barnes Group to support the Central Coast Mariners Women. The launch event will be open to the public from 1 p.m., with activities planned before and after the match.

The afternoon program will include live music, entertainment; face painting for children and mini soccer goals for young football fans. Visitors can also enjoy freshly made pizzas from local chef Daniel and drinks supplied by Hawkesbury Brewing Company. Mariners Women jerseys and merchandise will be available for purchase during the event.

Key Highlights:

  • The Mariners Club launches on October 24, 2026, with family-friendly activities, live music and food
  • Central Coast Mariners Women face Canberra United at 3 p.m. in their first home game of the season
  • All proceeds from the Mariners Club will support the Central Coast Mariners Women’s football program

The Mariners Women also will have a chance to buy a $100 full-season ticket to its women's A-League team, and current members of the men's team can upgrade their membership for $40. The offers are intended to promote the inclusion and participation of the community in the women's team that is starting a new season.

The festivities will also be held at nearby Polytech Stadium as the Central Coast Mariners Women will play Canberra United at 3pm. The game will be the first home game of the season for the team. The Mariners arrive in the game with a 4-2 win at home to Brisbane Roar in their first game and have a good start to the campaign.

After the match, supporters will be given a chance to return to the Mariners Club for post-game festivities with food and refreshments on the lawns and a DJ. The event aims to allow fans to engage with the team and other supporters in a safe and fun environment.

The Mariners Club is an important part of Holman Barnes Group's efforts to improve the future of women's football on the Central Coast.

According to the group’s announcement on October 14, all proceeds generated by the venue will go directly towards supporting the Central Coast Mariners Women’s program. The project will serve as a year-round resource to support local fans and also serve as a space for them to come together.

Football, family events and live entertainment are scheduled for the launch and it is hoped that the community will rally around the Mariners Women and start their home campaign.
