CWE Grant to Offer Texas Rural Women with 10 Grants of $100,000

Texas Woman’s University’s Center for Women Entrepreneurs shall start accepting the applications for its Texas Rural Woman Grant on May 20, 2025. This is the third consecutive year of the grant program that focuses on assisting businesses that are owned by women in rural Texas communities. A set of 10 grants with each consisting $10,000 ($100,000 in total) will be awarded to the chosen applicants on the basis of their establishment year, which has to be atleast three years.

On June 20, 2025, a completed application must be submitted in online mode by 5 pm. Based on U.S. Census and the Office of Management & Budget data, the rural eligibility will be defined, especially for counties, having 50,000/fewer population. For confirming rural eligibility, the applications must refer to the qualifying Texas counties’ list.

Center for Women Entrepreneurs Director Tracy Irby said in a statement, “We recognize the unique challenges rural women entrepreneurs face, especially when it comes to accessing capital and training. This grant is more than just funding — it provides the tools and support to help rural business owners grow stronger roots and reach new heights.”

Furthermore, the rural grant funds might be accustomed for numerous expenses related business that also includes equipment purchasing, farm implements, fencing or technology; acquiring inventory or raw materials and a lot more.
