The Board of Directors at Zenith Bank Plc has welcomed Dr. Juliet Ehimuan as a new Non-Executive Director. The bank also released a statement, with approval from their General Counsel, Michael Osilama Otu, confirming her appointment with the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Ehimuan is widely recognized as the Founder and CEO of Beyond Limits and has previously worked as the Director of Google West Africa. Forbes has also named her one of Africa’s top 20 most powerful women.
Besides, London Business School named her one of 30 individuals making a major impact around the world, and she’s been listed among the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD). Her achievements have also earned her features on BBC Africa’s Power Women series and CNN’s Innovate Africa program.
With over 25 years of experience mainly in Technology, Oil and Gas, and New Media across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Ehimuan is well-known as a leader in Innovation, Transformation, and Leadership. During her impressive 12 years at Google, she was instrumental in growing the company's presence in Nigeria and the wider West Africa region.
She has worked tirelessly to make digital access easier, help develop local content, build skills in communities, support entrepreneurs, and push for new innovations. She has also played a key role in forming partnerships with major private companies as well as government agencies. Due to her efforts, Nigeria's tech scene has grown a lot, making a real difference across tech industry of the country.
She has been involved in committees that helped develop national broadband plan and digital incubation strategies of Nigeria. She also offered advice to national groups working to boost economic growth. Her efforts have earned her several awards, recognizing her impact on Africa's digital world.
