Dubai Customs Wins Harvard Business Awards Council Honor for Advancing Women in Leadership

Dubai Customs has received recognition on a global scale for its commitment to empowering women in leadership roles and was honored with the esteemed Harvard Business Awards Council (HBC) award. At a special ceremony at London's storied Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA), Eman Badr Al Suwaidi, Director of the Clients Happiness Department and Head of the Authorized Economic Operator Program at Dubai Customs, accepted the award and gold medal. 

At Dubai Customs, Al Suwaidi received recognition for her leadership in promoting inclusivity, encouraging creativity, and leading innovation. Significant improvements have resulted from her efforts, including more effective processes, happier customers, and better government services. 

She emphasized the fact that the achievement of Emirati women at Dubai Customs is greatly driven by the organization's leadership. "We are dedicated to making Emirati women a driving force behind our economic growth path," she added, explaining that the global acknowledgement adds more to Dubai Customs' increasing popularity for excellence. 

This year's HBC Awards ceremony was particularly historic in unveiling the new global framework for Intelligent Sustainable Excellence (ISE). Of 4,172 nominations over 30 categories, 63 winners were chosen following over 5,500 hours of judging, honoring innovation, sustainability, and AI embracement globally. 

The award reaffirms Dubai Customs' position as a pioneer in smart and sustainable governance and reaffirms its role in trade facilitation, innovation, and inclusive leadership on an international level.
