European Prize for Women Innovators Honours Pioneering Women Entrepreneurs

  • The prize ceremony is being jointly organised by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and the European Innovation Council (EIC)
  • The prize will recognise women entrepreneurs from 27 EU and Horizon Europe associated countries that are driving innovation

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), in collaboration with the European Innovation Council (EIC), is proud to present the prize event honoring women entrepreneurs from the EU and Horizon Europe associated countries that are changing lives and responding to global challenges with their innovations.

This new strengthened partnership has, in 2023, enlarged the awards scheme to include nine awards spread over three categories. The EIC Women Innovators category recognizes women innovators in deep tech and STEM fields and has three prizes of €100,000, €70,000, and 50,000 respectively to the first three awardees.

The EIC Rising Innovators category recognizes women innovators under 35 with three prizes of €50,000, €30,000 and €20,000 respectively, in recognition of their individual breakthroughs for delicate personal entrepreneurial achievements.

The EIT Women Leadership Award recognizes distinguished leaders from the EIT Community. The prizes for the three awards being €50,000, €30,000, and €20,000.

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is an EU body created in 2008 to increase European capacity to innovate and maintain world-class status globally.

Its headquarters are in Budapest, Hungary. The EIT aims to create a network of businesses, educational institutions, and research organisations (the "knowledge triangle").

It creates innovative partnerships to help new business and innovative ventures build innovation and entrepreneurship into the process.
