FEDCON (FederalGovernment.info), a consultancy specializing in federal procurement, announced today a new public-facing market research initiative focused on identifying and addressing key challenges faced by Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) certified contractors.
The program goes beyond general studies and focuses, instead, on proprietary acquisition-style market research in order to develop practical insights for the WOSBs.
FEDCON is reviewing data and engaging certified businesses in order to identify common operational, compliance, and growth-related barriers affecting their ability to win and perform federal contracts.
Turning Data into Practical Resources, two key results anticipated from the research are create a data-driven list of the most significant barriers to WOSB success, including but not limited to: proposal compliance issues, cash flow constraints, scaling difficulties, and limited visibility to prime contractors.
Publicly share the findings and translate them into concrete tools, best practices, and guidance that the WOSB community can use.
The approach is expected to contribute to addressing the systemic factors standing in the way of meeting the federal government's five percent WOSB contracting goal. By making these research insights publicly available, FEDCON seeks to expand access to information that supports equitable participation in federal procurement.
This effort is valued by industry leaders such as Gloria Glaubman. "Success in federal contracting depends fundamentally on access to actionable information," said Gloria, Founder of GMG Consulting LLC.
"The research of FEDCON brings to WOSBs insight into common challenges and practical ways to overcome them, helping strengthen their capability to operate and grow within the federal sector."
Initial findings and recommended solutions from the WOSB Market Research Plan will be made available on FederalGovernment.info in the first quarter of 2026. FEDCON invites certified WOSBs to follow its channels for the latest updates and access to future resources.
