Hilti Malaysia Names Reena Talla as Head of HR

Hilti Malaysia, a global supplier of construction tools, technology, software and engineering solutions, has promoted Reena Talla as its Head of Human Resources. She will embark on her new journey with Hilti Malaysia as part of the Executive Management Team where she will be spearheading people strategy in close collaboration with business leaders to ensure leadership, talent development and organizational culture contributes to the growth of the company.

She will be responsible for and oversee all aspects of Human Resources, with a strong focus on business partnering, talent acquisition, leadership development, succession planning, employee engagement, performance management, organizational development, total rewards, employee relations, and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and will focus on developing a high-performing, people-first organization.

Prior to this Reena Talla served as an Employee Experience Services Lead – APMEA & Europe for Kerry, spearheading strategic employee experience initiatives across APMEA & Europe. In this capacity, she engaged with senior leaders to strengthen people strategy, workplace culture and increase the impact of organisations across various geographies and linked these to business objectives.

Prior to Kerry, Reena spent over 12 years at Vale, in a sequence of increasingly senior regional HR leadership positions. She was lastly Regional Head of Human Resources for Asia, Middle East and Europe, where she led the strategic HR agenda in various countries with the focus of building organizational capability, developing leaders, workforce planning and regional HR transformation. She was the Head of Human Resources for Vale Malaysia where she was responsible for the HR role in the country for Talent Management, Compensation and Benefits, Global Mobility, HR strategy and People Management.

Prior to this, Reena held the position of Head of Human Resources Services for Asia, Middle East and Europe (AMEA) at Vale, where she was responsible for setting up and leading HR shared services across the region (AMEA) for payroll, compensation and benefits, talent management, training and global mobility. She also served as Senior Compliance Specialist, where she assisted with the compliance, risk management, and governance functions across the mining business throughout the region, expanding her knowledge and skills in compliance, governance and organizational effectiveness.

Reena started her career with KPMG with almost 8 years experience as Manager – Risk Advisory Services advising organisations on risk management, governance, compliance and business transformation programs. The strength of her proven consulting experience combined with her extensive regional HR leadership experience has enabled her to be able to provide people transformation projects across Asia, Middle East and Europe.

Throughout her career, Reena has been at the forefront of HR transformation, employee experience, organizational culture, talent management, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness initiatives in Asia and elsewhere. She enjoys communicating her ideas on leadership, the future of work, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and developing high-performance work environments.
