The Impact Investors Foundation (IIF) announced that the third edition of its Gender Impact Investment Summit (GIIS) will take place on October 2, 2025, at the Lagos Civic Centre. The summit will be focused on connecting women-owned businesses with providers of capital.
The annual theme is "Investing in Equity: Promoting Gender-Led Solutions to Inclusive Development." The Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) Roadmap, a document that will aim to break the systemic exclusion of women, youth, and people with disabilities from access to finance, will be launched at the summit.
IIF Chief Executive Etemore Glover declared that the summit marks a transition from advocacy to real action on gender-inclusive investing. She emphasized that gender-sensitive investing is not only socially responsible but also strategically rewarding.
The event will have deal rooms both physical and virtual, allowing direct interaction between women-owned and women-led businesses ready to invest and impact investors. The project will be promoting partnerships as well as inclusive economic growth.
Attendees will be entrepreneurs, financial institutions, and support organizations for enterprises, government officials, and media specialists. The event will have panel discussions, fireside chats, breakout sessions, and networking.
Jessica Espinoza, 2X Global CEO, will give the keynote. Etemore also pointed to IIF's mission of positioning Nigeria as a driver of gender-inclusive investments and pointing to the potential for balancing economic growth with social impact.
