Honeywell International, Inc. has appointed Indra Nooyi to its Board of Directors as an independent member. With effect from January 1, 2023, Indra will perform the functions of an independent Board Member with respect to the operations of Honeywell.

The Company's Corporate Headquarters are located in Charlotte, North Carolina and have over 130,000 employees worldwide.

Indra served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PepsiCo between 2006 and 2018; serving on the Board of Directors from 2007 until 2019; constantly being recognized as one of the world's most influential female executives by both–Forbes and Fortune. She also serves as the Chairwoman of the Audit Committee at Amazon.

The appointment comes as Honeywell continues to restructure its business. In October, the company completed the separation of its advanced materials business into an independent publicly traded company, Solstice Advanced Materials Inc., based in New Jersey.

The move represents the first step in a broader plan to separate Honeywell into three independent public companies.

Previously, Honeywell has said that it will complete the separation of its aerospace and automation businesses next year. The continuing Honeywell, post planned changes, will be retained in Charlotte with the prime focus on automation.
