Judith Schoenmaeckers Takes Charge as EDG's New CEO

Judith Schoenmaeckers has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of European Dental Group (EDG), and this is another milestone in her extensive leadership experience in the healthcare, telecommunication, staffing, recruitment and dental services industries spanning over 30 years.
Judith took over as interim CEO in June 2026 and assumed the role formally at the beginning of  August 2026. In addition to the new role she will remain as CEO of TopMondzorg – a position she has held since January 2022. She was appointed as an example of the increasing recognition of women leaders with a wealth of operational experience, combined with commercial acumen and an understanding of sustainable organisational development.

Judith joined European Dental Group in January 2020 as Chief Operating Officer. Over more than six  years, she developed extensive knowledge of the organisation’s businesses and markets while contributing to its growth and development. Her transition from COO to interim CEO and subsequently to the permanent CEO role marks a notable progression in her executive leadership journey.

Judith's new role will involve deepening the partnership between EDG's organisations by sharing knowledge, best practice and innovation, and maximising the use of organisational scale. She also has a people-centred leadership agenda with a strong focus on sustainable growth, building high-performing teams, delivering high-quality care and ongoing improvement.

Judith has since 2022 been managing TopMondzorg as CEO, where she has developed her executive career in the field of healthcare. She focuses on a patient-centred and people-centred approach, involving patients and health care professionals in decisions, and integrating organisational performance into quality and sustained development. Her successful business leadership and decision-making in healthcare has been one of the defining aspects of her recent career.

Judith has also been a Member of SER Topvrouwen since 2018, an initiative focused on increasing the representation of women in senior leadership and executive positions. Her involvement adds a strong women-in-leadership dimension to a career characterised by progression through increasingly senior commercial, operational and executive roles.

Before joining European Dental Group, she served as Managing Director at Pepperminds from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, she spent more than four years at Mediq, where she was Directeur Apotheken Nederland, gaining substantial leadership experience in healthcare.

Her career also includes several senior positions at Randstad Nederland, including Commercieel Directeur, Area Directeur Randstad Nederland and Directeur Sales. Earlier, she worked as a Headhunter at Batenborch and held leadership positions at Telfort, serving as Directeur Retail Sales and Directeur Marketing Zakelijke Markt.

In her previous corporate experience Judith served as Manager Large Accounts and Productmanager Vaste Verbindingen at KPN. In these roles, she gained experience in commercial strategy, sales, operations, people leadership and business management.

Her appointment as CEO is the next in a series of moves that have marked her career with steady climb up the ranks and experience in multiple sectors. Judith now tackles a new stage of executive leadership as he combines decades of experience with his passion for innovation and sustainable growth, together with quality and people-centred decision making in both EDG and TopMondzorg.
