Key Speakers for Women's Innovation & Entrepreneurship Conference Announced

  • The Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) will be organizing its well-known annual conference on 30–31 October 2025
  • It will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) in South Africa
  • The conference will be utilized to address the issues of women entrepreneurs, new business opportunities, and testimonies of success from Africa and the global stage

 

Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) has revealed a star-studded list of high-profile African and global speakers at its fifth annual conference, scheduled to be held on 30–31 October 2025 at Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).

Committed to showcasing African women as entrepreneurs and innovators, the eleventh annual AWIEF flagship Conference, Expo, and Awards will host over 60 business, political, and development leaders to share thought leadership and knowledge.

With the motto "Breaking the Barriers: Now More Than Ever," AWIEF 2025 will drive the expansion of women-owned and women-led enterprises, encourage inclusive economic growth, demarcate trends in entrepreneurship, and bring together changemakers from throughout Africa and the African diaspora.

Keynote speeches will be made by Dr. Fatima Elsheikh, Secretary General of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and Hajar El Haddaoui, Director General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), among a distinguished line-up that includes ministers, parliamentarians, business leaders, and development champions like H.E. Vera Kamtukule, Hon. Christelle Vuanga, H.E. Marie-Celine Zialor, LaTanya White, Pamela Ellis, Alderman James Vos, Mustapha Zaouini, Ambassador Natalina Edward Mou, Marvis Owusu-Gyamfi, Alice Usanase, and Adesuwa Ifedi, just to mention a few.

It is sponsored by key sponsors and partners such as OCP Africa, Deloitte Africa, African Women's Development Fund, City of Cape Town, UNDP, UN Women, Nedbank, APO Group, and other media partners. The two-day event will host keynote addresses, panel sessions, a vibrant expo, masterclasses and free workshops, startup pitch competitions, and networking sessions in abundance, with quite good representation from African diaspora entrepreneurs keen on partnerships and market entry.

The sessions will give practical knowledge on finance, investment, innovation, food security, sustainability, policy, and digital transformation, offering a high-level, content-rich, and action-oriented platform to empower participants with the tools, the knowledge, and networks necessary to drive their business and career growth
