The Korea Federation of Women Entrepreneurs held an event called "Networking Day" on December 5, 2015. This occurred at Samjung Hotel Gangnam-gu Seoul, with 150 woman business leaders and entrepreneurs participated in this event.
The goals of "Networking Day" included raising awareness of the FemTech Industry and providing the opportunity for woman business leaders and entrepreneurs to network and discuss ideas about the realities, present and future potential for business development in the FemTech industry.
Son Mijin, CEO of Sugentech, and Kim Hyoee, CEO of Innersia, both spoke to attendees about their experiences and thoughts related to the FemTech Industry.
The event then transitioned to a networking component where participants had the opportunity to connect with one another to discuss their projects and initiatives related to the FemTech Industry.
Park Changsook, President of KFWE, stated that the FemTech Industry is a strategic industry that can help to enhance a woman’s health, quality of life, and economic independence.
She further added that as part of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' "Second Basic Plan for Promoting Women Entrepreneurs," the federation will continue to support the development of the FemTech Industry and to support the creation of an ecosystem of growth for businesses owned and operated by women.
