Nabta Health, a women's health company based in the UAE, has secured $2 million in pre-Series A funding to advance its AI-enabled hybrid care model, which offers digital, at-home, and in-clinic services across the Middle East and Africa. In total, Nabta has now raised $4.5 million.
Founded in 2017 by Sophie Smith, Nabta will use the new funding to build out additional diagnostics and at-home testing solutions, grow its partnerships with employers, insurers, and healthcare providers, and advance its clinical infrastructure through hospital partnerships.
Sophie, Founder & CEO, said, "This investment helps us to fulfill our vision to advance the care and health of women through an AI-enabled hybrid model of care that supports outcomes and is culturally sensitive.” She added, "Women’s health is a social and economic priority in the region and we will be able to scale Nabta's service and impact."
In 2025, Nabta made TIME Magazine’s Top HealthTech Companies, launched a Women's Health Centre of Excellence with Clemenceau Medical Center Hospital Dubai, and expanded its corporate health solution. To optimize its hybrid model, Nabta's plans in 2025 also include strengthening clinical partnerships and introducing new care pathways.
