Novo Nordisk also announced it would expand the number of distribution channels for Wegovy (its weight loss product) by adding a cash paying patient option via telemedicine, in addition to its current insurance options; therefore increasing the overall population of individuals who qualify for Wegovy's weight loss products.
The company has also experienced intense competition within the marketplace for its products, particularly from Eli Lilly, and will use partnerships with retailers to enhance its presence and its size as a company will expand through direct consumer sales as well.
