The initiative aligns with Gyeonggi Province’s broader efforts to foster inclusive economic growth by empowering women entrepreneurs.

The applications are open until the 19th of May 2026 and it targets women-led manufacturing companies located at or doing business in Pyeongtaek. Eligible applicants would be firms with women CEOs or co-CEOs. Five companies will be chosen based on a rigorous process of evaluation, such as the screening of documents, site inspection, presentation review. The successful companies will be given up to 8.2 million won amounting to 70 percent of the project cost.

The program provides support in four main pillars; management strategy, product commercialization, marketing and improvement of the workplace environment. The participating companies may select up to three areas depending on their business requirements, thus ensuring a tailored-growth strategy. The support extends to strategic consulting and prototype development to digital marketing efforts like social media advertising and online exhibitions. Also, it provides funds to improve workplaces of female workers.

The program has already shown tangible results. One of the past participants was able to increase its customer base and bring in a lot of additional revenue by product innovation and online sales channels.

The program will help to position women entrepreneurs as one of the major drivers of economic development in the region by addressing operational and strategic barriers.
