The second cohort of the GrowHer Accelerator Program, an initiative of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, is now open to applications.
The GrowHer program targets women to support them in scaling their enterprises through funding and other support services such as guidance and support.
Following the successful completion of the first cohort for the GrowHer Accelerator Program in 2021, SMEDAN is pleased to be accepting applications for the second cohort for this program.
The Program is designed for female entrepreneurs who already own businesses and are seeking to grow their reach (although we do not offer funding for new startups or unregistered businesses).
During the application stage, the required documents to provide would be those that verify your registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) or alike, NAFDAC approval for food products, should your business fall into this category, for instance.
For a business to qualify for the program, it must be based in either Abuja (FCT), Niger State, Kaduna State, Kogi State, Nasarawa State, Plateau State, or Benue State.
This program targets women entrepreneurs who own registered businesses. An applicant must have valid CAC registration and should be operating in one of the states that qualify. They must also have necessary certifications if needed.
To be qualified for the GrowHer Accelerator Program Cohort 2, the owner or head of the woman-owned company should have a minimum turnover of four million naira with proven documentation, and the company should be at least two years old.
Also, the company has to be registered with CAC, and all regulatory certifications should be acquired, if applicable.
Eligible female entrepreneurs wishing to apply should be located in the states mentioned and should meet the requirements. One can apply by registering by clicking the link provided by SMEDAN.
