Sony Music Publishing, (SMP), has made an announcement regarding the appointment of its new President, Asia, which is none other than Roslyn Pineda.
In her new role Roslyn oversee creative and business operations in various Asian territories, including growing the company’s relationships within the region’s clients and industry partners, as well as globally supporting Sony Music Publishing’s songwriter community within the region.
The position will be based in Hong Kong, with Pineda answering to Guy Henderson, President, International, Sony Music Publishing.
In a statement made to the company, Roslyn expressed her optimism to collaborate with the regional team in serving songwriters all over Asia, as well as to creating a culture permeated with creativity and innovation.
The appointment was welcomed by Guy Henderson, who stated that Asia is still an important growth market for the company.
He indicated that the experience in artist development, as well as over 20 years of experience in the music business, makes Pineda an ideal candidate for business growth in the region.
Roslyn will succeed Carol Ng, who will continue to work with Sony Music Publishing until her planned retirement towards the end of March 2026. Prior to her latest role, Pineda was the General Manager Philippines and previously held the role of Vice President, Artist Relationships & Business Development, Asia.
During the course of her career, she has collaborated with a number of other international artists. She has been a part of the process that saw the signing of some of the biggest Filipino acts. She was involved in the acquisition of the ABS-CBN music catalogue in 2024.
Roslyn received Music Industry Executive of the Year recognition at the 2025 Billboard Philippines Women in Music awards.
In her previous interviews, she has stressed the need to support indigenous talent, as well as cultural significance alongside commercial success, as important criteria in judging industry success.
