Summer Cross Serves as Director, Global Learning & Development at CBRE

Summer Cross has been appointed Director, Global Learning & Development, REI at CBRE Investment Management, taking on a broader role focused on enterprise learning, talent development and global capability building. She brings nearly seven years of experience in learning and development roles across the wider CBRE organization.

Summer most recently served as Senior Manager, Talent, and Learning & Development at CBRE from April to September 2026. Prior to that, she spent more than three years as Learning & Development Manager, where she supported learning strategies and talent development initiatives across the organization.

She was a first-time employee at CBRE in 2019, working as a Senior Learning & Development Specialist in functional groups across the globe such as Legal, Digital & Technology, Finance, Marketing, Research, Talent Acquisition, Supply Chain and Human Resources. Her work involved liaising with key leaders across various levels, as well as employee engagement and development, the design and delivery of learning programs for a global audience and working on enterprise performance and learning initiatives.

Before CBRE, Summer was a Senior Learning Specialist with Legacy Texas, creating training for retail banking teams and print/digital learning content. She was involved in cross functional team training, facilitation and project execution.

Previously, Summer worked for over 15 years at Wells Fargo, as a Learning and Development Consultant for five years before he moved into a management role for over 10 years. She led adult learning at Wells Fargo, developed learning programs that were virtual and in-person, worked with district and regional leaders, and guided learning journeys for customer experience and frontline banking performance.

In each of these roles, Summer has gained extensive expertise in learning strategy, facilitation, leadership development, employee engagement, and instructional design and enterprise capability building. Her new position at CBRE Investment Management brings that experience to a world of real assets investments.
