TISA Insurance & Fiji Federation to Support Women In Businesses

• TISA Insurance Fiji signed an agreement with the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation
• The agreement has the aim of encouraging women-owned businesses in Fiji

TISA Insurance Fiji Limited, formerly known as Capital Insurance, has signed a Letter of Understanding with the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation, with the aim of reaching more women-owned businesses.

During the signing ceremony, TISA Insurance CEO David Ariff Chan mentioned that the theme of this year’s event, "Give to Gain: Investing in Women to Transform Our Future," is very important to the social, economic, and national development of Fiji.

David said that investing in women-owned businesses is not only important for the future development of Fiji but also for developing financial systems that will support the confidence and dreams of women entrepreneurs. He added that insurance provides real protection and peace of mind, and it is more than just a financial product.

FCEF CEO Edward Bernard said that the WIIN Convention, which is on its fifth year, remains an important platform for the promotion of women's economic empowerment.

On the other hand, Women Entrepreneurs in Business Convention Chair Jyoti Maharaj said that the WIN Convention has become a strong national platform that connects hopes with opportunities and ideas with action.

She also expressed her gratitude for being part of the journey to empower women in business, emphasizing the need to build systems that understand the challenges of women entrepreneurs and safeguard what they are building.

Jyoti added that true change will come from good policies, solutions to challenges, and opportunities for partnerships and support.
