WCIC 2025 Honors Excellence in Women-Led Enterprises

• WCIC to host its flagship Women Entrepreneur Awards in January 2026 in Colombo
• Entrepreneurs are evaluated on vision, performance, and governance
• Multiple special awards will highlight excellence across key business sectors

Women’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce (WCIC) is all set to host their prestigious flagship program, WCIC Prathibhabhisheka-Women Entrepreneur Awards 2025, which is scheduled for January 13, 2026, at the Hilton Colombo.

The award has been regarded as one of the most esteemed platforms in the entrepreneurial world. The event recognizes accomplishments of outstanding female entrepreneurs in Sri Lanka and the SAARC region for their tireless efforts.

With a strong legacy of advancing women-led enterprise, WCIC supports and uplifts women entrepreneurs and business professional through such platforms. The programme acknowledges women leaders who have led with perseverance and performance playing a pivotal role in driving the economic development.

“We are now in the final days leading up to the event that women entrepreneurs eagerly look forward to each year. Once again, we have seen impressive participation. The evaluation process assesses vision, direction, performance, achievements and overall contribution during the 2024/25 period. In keeping with the WCIC’s regional outlook, we also recognise exceptional women entrepreneurs from the SAARC region. The 2025 awards mark the fourth edition in the new format, which encourages strategic thinking, sound financial practices, strong governance and the promotion of women-owned and women-led businesses.”, commented Commenting WCIC Chairperson Gayani De Alwis stated.

Adding depth to the program, the event will present a range of special awards such as Young Woman Entrepreneur, Most Outstanding Start-Up, Woman of Courage, Outstanding Export-Oriented Entrepreneur (Product and Services), Best SAARC Region Digital Entrepreneur, Most Innovative Entrepreneur, and Social Entrepreneur.
