DITTO Daily, a health tech startup founded by a woman, has raised £1.35 million in a pre-seed round supported by Eka Ventures. The money will help the firm on its mission to expand its science-formulated supplements that help alleviate menstrual symptoms.
Established in 2024 by celebrated nutrition scientist Alice van der Schoot, DITTO Daily is filling a vital disconnect between menstrual health research and practical, evidence-backed solutions. Its lead product, the Cycle Supplement, addresses both mental and bodily symptoms of the menstrual cycle — such as PMS and PMDD — with a blend of 10 clinically-backed ingredients.
"Our goal is to bridge the gap between what sciences currently understands and what are often outdated or ineffective alternatives still being presented to women," Alice stated. "This investment allows us to scale our research and provide smarter, science-based solutions to the billions of women suffering from cycle-related issues."
The supplement employs 'beadlet-in-oil' delivery nutrition technology to maximize absorption. Since its introduction to the UK only four months ago, it has recorded excellent uptake and user experience, with an 88 percent reduction in overall symptom severity reported in a recent clinical trial. Users report consistently feeling relief from cramps, mood swings, bloating, and low energy.
DITTO Daily has rapidly established a robust online presence, building a community of over 116,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok. The firm will also carry out three more clinical trials later this year to further back its strategy.
Jean-Baptise Wautier participated in the round along with Eka Ventures. Camilla Dolan, partner at Eka, lauded the vision of the team:
We are delighted to endorse DITTO's initiative to introduce cutting-edge science into everyday well-being. The initial clinical outcomes say a lot about the actual need and potential in women's health innovation.
