Kella Leadership is an Irish platform focused on women leaders in business and is expanding to London, its first international foray.
Launched in January 2023 by three women, Hannah Wrixon, Gina London and Caroline Dunlea, the platform has five employees, is fully remote and its founders have put in €250,000 in startup capital.
Kella Leadership helps women who lead a team or business find other women, learn from each other and access opportunities to grow.
Kella Leadership employs an algorithm to match women with similar roles and problems they are solving for their businesses, peer-to-peer support for women and a pipeline for women who are scaling in leadership.
Just like Chief.com, a platform founded in 2019, US-based, Kella Leadership is providing this service for women to connect and transact in Europe.
Kella Leadership currently has over 250 members, from senior level women leaders to women who are at the beginning of their leadership journey and is looking to grow to 500 members by the end of quarter four in 2026.
The company plans to globalize a city at a time, beginning in London in early 2026. The founders’ professional background and research into the advantages of women in leadership and the isolation among senior women executives served as motivation for founding Kella.
The platform features six-month peer-to-peer programs where women address challenges and share experiences. In about eight months of launch, Kella has had a positive level of engagement, including a second summit at Killashee with 200 women which garnered strong feedback notes from attendees.
