Dr Jenny has gained international recognition for her pioneering work in robotic gynecology and incorporating sexual medicine in conventional gynecology practices in the Philippines. Her unique leadership style blends functional, surgical, and aesthetic solutions that help patients regain their confidence.

What inspired you to pursue a career in women’s health?

I was inspired to pursue a career in women’s health by observing how much a physician can empower their confidence and well-being. Undergoing international training in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, I also developed a passion for aesthetic gynecology. Today, I combine clinical practice and leadership to positively impact women’s lives nationwide.

As I professionally grew as an obstetriciangyne­cologist I felt the need to emphasize women’s sexual

health and aesthetic care. It gives much fulfilment to be able to provide comprehensive care that transforms con­fidence, intimacy, and well-being for women.

Tell us about your professional journey that shaped your expertise in the industry.

While studying medicine, I found my calling in obstet­rics and gynecology, offering both complexity and op­portunity. I focused on developing expertise in rising subspecialties that allowed me to build a distinct profile and sustained expertise over the years.

With a need to provide services for geriatric women in the Philippines, I chose to specialise in urogynecology and pelvic reconstruction in Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, because of the needs that are presently unmet at that level.

My concentration at the level of geriatric women further led me to specialise in minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic surgery in India and Canada. I later expanded into aesthetic medicine and aesthetic gynecology with advanced training in Hungary to address both functional outcomes and patient confidence.

Introduce us to your medical practice. How do you ensure positive patient outcomes?

My primary role includes advancing the field of pelvic floor wellness through both the treatment of patients and professional training. I closely collaborate with international experts to mentor gynecologists in the functionalities, aesthetics, and sexual medicine procedures. The educational focus combined with a quest for precision enables me to provide safe, effective, confidence-alleviating results in every patient.

I integrate advanced diagnosis, new technologies, and functional-aesthetic treatments to offer precise and truly effective solutions. My practice exceeds standard care through the integration of advanced diagnostic testing, functional and aesthetic treatments enhancing both women's health and quality of life.

What challenges do you encounter while working with patients? How do you address them effectively?

One of the most regular challenges I encounter in my practice involves women who have had their confidence derailed as a result of either aging changes or conditions related to childbirth. This, naturally, has the potential to put women in yet another uncomfortable position, either in regard to sex or otherwise.

The treatment options I put together specifically for my patients involve intrusive measures, will only escalate into more significant alternatives if the need arises.

How do you foresee advancements in minimally invasive surgery and aesthetic gynecology reshaping the future of women’s health?

Breakthroughs in minimally invasive procedures are redefining the possibilities of women's health in my practice. I integrate the latest cutting-edge technologies in the form of Erbium YAG lasers, high intensity focused electromagnetic technology for the body and pelvic floor, radiofrequency technology, or shockwave therapy, and regenerative biologicals in the form of PRP and exosomes.

With the help of technologies in bladder scanners, uroflowmetry studies, and LED therapy treatments, we are now able to anticipate potential concerns and provide each woman with the solution that helps them take back their health and confidence.

Looking back, what key milestones are you most proud of? What is your ‘success mantra’?

I am proud of the leadership positions I have held, as Chair of the Philippine Board of Gynecologic Robotic Surgery and as President of the Aesthetic Gynecologic Society of the Philippines. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to contribute through practice, academia, and health care leadership.

In my opinion, success comes from humility, discipline, and purpose where one must continuously invest in their craft to upgrade oneself. When work is driven by passion and humanitarian goals, recognition follows naturally. Passionately driven by intent, I balance my practice by helping those in need, and I see that as a responsibility, to give back and create meaningful impact.

What long-term plans do you envision for your future?

My future plans center on developing people by training doctors to be truly excellent in aesthetic gynecology and robotic surgery by exposing them to international training and technology.

I bring global experts to the Philippines, sharing the latest innovations, and mentor clinicians so advanced aesthetic gynecology and minimally invasive gynecology becomes widely available. The approach elevates patient care and improves women’s quality of life nationwide.
