Jacqui Archer: Redefining Leadership Through Science, Strategy & Soul

Jacqui Archer
CEO

Shaping AI-ready leadership, with accelerated use of digital platforms for psychometric testing, is leveraging unprecedented talent data and analytics, rewriting HR’s role in executive decision making. As organizations reimagine leadership using technology: accuracy, fairness and effectiveness in talent identification and development is critical.

Taking a similar mission forward with a rich tapestry of experience and a promise to “make humans matter more”, Jacqui Archer continues to redefine leadership, talent selection, development and holistic assessment across the Caribbean.

Being a ‘natural yet reluctant’ leader, Jacqui’s life trajectory changed at a young age after taking her first psychometric assessment, a transformative experience that sparked a lifelong passion for the science of leadership and human potential. That passion would eventually lead her to one of her greatest honors: partnering with the renowned late Professor Peter Saville to establish Saville Consulting services across the Caribbean in 2005.

Jacqui's entrepreneurial spirit emerged early, launching ventures in hairdressing, makeovers and interior design before reaching her teens. Her professional career spans, medicine, Big Pharma, training, marketing, HR management, Consulting, DEI and business psychology. She brings a rare ability to combine deep corporate experience with a fun, dynamic, practical human touch. A certified assessor and assessment center designer, Jacqui is a trained TV presenter, lecturer trainer and speaker that also brings humour intelligence and mindfulness into her workplace approach as a certified yoga instructor and registered nurse.

From leading marketing at big pharma companies to spearheading organizational change across the UK, Caribbean, and Central America, you have done it all. Can you tell us about your vast experience as a professional?

My career started in the UK and is deeply rooted in sales, leadership and people management. After studying nursing, I moved into pharmacology and clinical trials, attracted to the science, commerce and non-clinical side of healthcare. I was headhunted into Big Pharma and advanced through the ranks at GlaxoSmithKline, starting off as one of the few female medical representatives and eventually becoming an international marketing manager in the Caribbean & South American Region

This global, practical corporate experience helps me support organizations navigate change, especially around HR and talent analytics. We help companies understand how AI is reshaping work and behavior and how they can easily harness it to predict and enhance performance, evolving to meet the changing human demands of the future.

Introduce us to Saville Assessment. Tell us about the underlying idea and core competencies of the company?

Saville Consulting integrates the tools, helping organizations find the right solution to build, develop, and lead talent more effectively, lead by science. We offer easy, sustainable people strategies, dynamic HR support, and hands-on training, to help use these AI driven tools effectively and design meaningful people strategies.

As CEO of Saville Consulting, I specialize in demystifying cutting-edge psychometric technology, making talent analytics easy to apply, tailored to the unique cultures, values, and strategies across many countries. This region is incredibly diverse, so our work focuses on aligning assessments with what truly matters to organizations here.

Can you highlight the key methodologies and strategies that you leverage to boost performance for companies in the Caribbean?

We provide companies with powerful data and insight into their human potential, performance and motivation, helping them reduce risk, hire better, develop more effectively, attract and retain top talent. Everything we do is grounded in award winning psychology.

We offer new tailored testing experiences that align with individual organizations and participant characteristics. We accurately represent international and local data in regional assessments. We ensure that the voices, cultures, behaviors, and leadership styles of people in the region are accurately represented in the psychometric research, tools and solutions offered.

In your opinion, what are some of the toughest challenges that companies in the Caribbean face currently? How do you navigate through these roadblocks?

Automation, generative AI and agentic AI will revolutionize the Caribbean workplace and its future challenges, it will redefine what people are needed to do and what companies and employees value, how they work and how they relate to each other.

Current challenges are complex, from digital HR transformation, talent acquisition and integrating new people-centric technologies to changing workforce demographics and the increasing need for better work-life balance as employees seek jobs which commit to sustainability, agility, diversity, and transparency.

Organizations are recognizing the value of stronger IT lead strategic leadership in HR, especially at the executive level. Legal frameworks and institutional protections for women's equality and inclusion are still in progress and yet great Caribbean female leaders are emerging.

What is your plan of action for helping the Caribbean rapidly transition into the world of AI and accelerated use of IT?

Our goal is to help organizations make better people decisions and reduce bias, powered by IT, science and the best available data. We focus on shifting hiring, selection and development from being subjective to truly objective. Caribbean recruitment often still relies on labour intensive admin, gut feeling or unintentional bias, and our job with AI ready hiring is to change that.

The Way A Leader Manages Their Team, Runs The Business, And Shows Up In Their Leadership Style, Every Bit Of It Leaves An Impact Everywhere

AI is not replacing HR leadership; it is redefining its Impact. Our assessments don't just fill roles and reduce risk, they fuel investment, purpose, performance, and success. AI enables us to analyze vast amounts of data quickly, providing rich insights into candidate, team and organizational strengths, risks, competencies, and potential and it’s central to everything we do.

We use one of the largest datasets in the psychometric field, remain anchored in evidence, innovation, and responsible application, unlocking the power of the right people doing the right work at the right time.

HR Leaders who successfully embrace AI and bridge the gap between technology and human potential will define the future of AI-driven business and leadership success.
