The Federation of Business and Professional Women's Association of Thailand (BPW Thailand), under the Royal Patronage of H.M. The Queen and hosted by President Khunying Natthika Wattanavekin Angubolkul, in association with Dr. Mom Luang Preeyapun Sridhavat, Chairperson of the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network-Thailand (AWEN Thailand).

Ramrung Worawat, Director-General of the Department of Women's Affairs and Family Development, and Dr. Rutchaneeporn Pookayaporn Phukkamarn, President of Sripatum University and awardee of the ASEAN Outstanding Women Entrepreneur Award 2015, staged the workshop "AI Empowerment for Women Entrepreneurs in the Digital Era" on September 22, 2025, at Sripatum University.

The ceremony was opened with the welcome address and remarks by Benjamas Kanmuang, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Women's Affairs and Family Development, whereas Kannika Charoenluk, Director of the Division of Gender Equality Promotion, made the closing remarks and handed over certificates to over 100 women entrepreneurs and business persons who were looking to upgrade their skills in AI.

The program was also accompanied by Maleerat Pluemchitchom, Advisor and ex-President of BPW Thailand, and Vacharee Sritrakul, AWEN Thailand Board Member, who motivated participants.

The workshop discussed the expanding influence of AI technology, which more and more is automating functions in marketing, customer support, administration, accounting, and production. The participants who can't be flexible are facing decreased income and mounting financial burdens.

For better learning outcomes, Sripatum University sent 20 AI Business Talents—students with proficiency in AI—to be the guides of participants and offer on-the-spot advice for utilising AI for competitiveness and increasing business opportunities.

The program aligns with national policies focusing on developing the capacity of Thai women entrepreneurs in the digital context of today—an effort to make them competitive and sustainable in the global environment.

The program also encourages public-private partnerships and reinforces important advancements to help empower Thai women business leaders to remain inventive and successful during times of technology change.
