Women in Tech Awards will be organized on November 20, 2025, by Innovator Trust to pay tribute and recognize the efforts of women creating South Africa's tech scene. The event, with the theme "Shaping Her Growth: Code it. Shape it. Scale it," celebrates women entrepreneurs' stories and how they have persevered, led, and attempted to scale and grow their ventures.

The platform seeks to inspire women of different backgrounds to use technology to resolve Africa's socio-economic issues.

Tashline Jooste, CEO at the Innovator Trust, explained why women's innovation is crucial for sustained social and economic development based on evidence proving that gender-diverse leadership has a link to improved business performance and returns higher in start-ups.

The awards will feature panel discussions with entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and creatives facilitated by Nozipho Tshabalala and a keynote address by Martha Lamola, Director of Vodacom Business Operations, on the topics of women in ICT, leadership, and innovation.

Panel discussions will cover topics such as the impact of AI on digital creative agencies, leadership in SMMEs, cross-border opportunities for African women entrepreneurs, and Africa's youth participation in technology with contributions from industry players and business experts.
