AbbVie's Allergan Aesthetics recently launched a call for applicants for The Confidence Collective: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs, a new program under the BOTOX Cosmetic brand. This program will operate until April 29, 2026.
In this program, 250 women entrepreneurs will be selected to have access to tools and support to grow their ventures. Among these 250 women, 20 of them will be offered grant money totaling $20,000 to develop their businesses.
As stated by Nicole Mowad-Nassar, President of Global Allergan Aesthetics and Senior Vice President of AbbVie, this program was created to assist entrepreneurs in developing skills, receiving mentorship, financing, and forming a community for sustained business growth.
While having ensured that more women have engaged in entrepreneurial activities, the current challenges facing women entrepreneurs include financial literacy, absence of networks for funding, and mentorship.
Confidence Collective is one platform that can be helpful in assisting women to overcome some of the problems mentioned above through capacity building, mentoring, networking, and funding. Those who were successful after participating in the program utilized the benefits gained from the program to advance their businesses.
One of the participants quoted is Saria Hawkins-Banda, who narrated how the program assisted her in business development, capacity building, and gaining confidence.
