Mary Laschinger was elected to the Board of Directors of ITT Inc. (NYSE: ITT) on May 21, with immediate effect. As the former Chair and CEO of Veritiv Corporation, a significant provider of business-to-business distribution solutions, Laschinger brings a wealth of leadership experience from 2014 until 2020, when she retired.
Before that, she spent more than 20 years in senior management positions at International Paper Company, where she oversaw operations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Russia in addition to leading the company's distribution division.
Mary was welcomed by ITT Chairman Timothy H. Powers, who emphasized her extensive industrial experience worldwide and her proven ability to spearhead business turnarounds. Her appointment, he said, is in line with ITT's board refreshment strategy and enhances the company's leadership with her experience as a current board director and CEO of a publicly traded company.
She is a trailblazer whose career path from warehouse operations to Fortune 500 CEO shows her ability to lead intricate global organizations, according to ITT President and CEO Luca Savi. He underlined that ITT's future expansion will benefit greatly from her experience in manufacturing, logistics, product management, and mergers and acquisitions.
Mary is currently a member of the Executive Advisory Council at Apollo Global Management and serves on the boards of Dollar Tree Inc. and Kellanova (formerly Kellogg Company). Her appointment to the board demonstrates ITT's dedication to capable leadership and sound governance.
With operations in more than 35 countries and sales in roughly 125 countries, ITT is a diversified manufacturer of highly engineered components and custom technology solutions for the transportation, industrial, and energy markets. The company is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut.
