Augusta Metro Chamber Launches Women in Business Signature Event

The Augusta Metro Chamber's 2025 Signature Event Women in Business Program officially started on Tuesday, October 21, and is intended to connect women in business for purpose to empower, support, and celebrate one another in business. The 2025 theme is: "Champions On and Off The Court."

The guests enjoyed the opportunity to hear from Debbie Antonelli, who has called college basketball games for ESPN and CBS throughout her 38-year career and shared some of her work experiences with everyone.

Debbie provided some context for the group while reminding them of passion and balance when she expressed the following: "You can be a champion on the court, but you can be a champion off of the floor too. I know this is a special evening for all of you – we get to dress down, talk hoops, and I have the privilege of sharing my story with you. I sincerely appreciate being here with you."

He is a two times Emmy Award winning Basketball Coverage Author and charity established by her son who has Down syndrome. Antonelli contributed to developing a fundraiser called "24 Hours Nothing But Net" a 24 hour free throw-a-thon for the purpose of benefitting Special Olympics athletes and has raised over $1.4 Million Dollars in 7 years.
