The ICC Women's T20I Team Rankings continue to have Australia lead; they are way ahead of England (by 12 points) after the annual update, and this secures their place as being the top team as we approach and prepare for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026.

The annual rankings update will assign 100 per cent weightings for all matches played since May 2025; 50 per cent weighting will be given to results from the last two years.

The latest ICC Women's T20I Rankings show Australia as the top ranked team (287 points); England is second (275 points) and India is third (264 points) among the top 16 teams - all positions in the top 16 are unchanged.

New Zealand (the reigning ICC Women's T20 World Cup champions) ranked fourth (253 points); fifth-ranked South Africa (243) round out the top 5 teams.

Sixth-ranked West Indies has 238; seventh-ranked Sri Lanka has 237 - there is only one point difference between them.

Eighth place retains Pakistan (216); ninth and tenth are Ireland (200) and Bangladesh (199) respectively - there is only one point difference between them.

In other movements, USA have moved up two spots to 20th with 98 points after winning the inaugural ICC Women's T20 Challenge Trophy. Germany have also gained 10 rating points moving from 56 to 66, as well as jumping six places to enter the top 30 at 29th position.

In total, there are 78 teams included in the latest rankings with each team having played a minimum of eight Twenty20 International (T20I) matches in three years.

Cambodia have dropped off the rankings and need four more matches to be eligible again, while Peru no longer has any ranking due to not playing a match in over three years.
