Bank Nizwa Empowers Omani Women Entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan

The leading and most trusted Islamic bank in the Sultanate of Oman, Bank Nizwa supported the delegation of Omani women entrepreneurs while reinforcing its commitment to women's empowerment and inclusive economic growth during their visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan. The participation of the bank in this strategic initiative reflects its leading position as a key supporter of the Islamic finance sector and its efforts to enhance the Sultanate's standing in global entrepreneurship.

The visit, which was initiated and organized by Funoon Hospitality and Tourism Group under the patronage of Dr. Siham Al Harthy, OCCI Board Member, reflected the group's belief in women's economic empowerment, their role in the business and tourism sectors and the representation of the Sultanate of Oman in international forums.

The​‍​‌‍​‍‌ delegation was made up of 15 Omani women entrepreneurs from diverse sectors such as education, healthcare, tourism, banking and finance, fashion and perfumery, food and hospitality as well as real estate development. By engaging in a variety of forums, meetings, and networking sessions, the members delved into trade and investment openings, forged ties with their Uzbek partners and demonstrated the quality of Omani entrepreneurship and its expansion ​‍​‌‍​‍‌globally.

Representing Bank Nizwa in this delegation were Iman Al Toubi, Senior Manager – Global Trade Services at Bank Nizwa, and Ms. Farhat Al Harasi, Branch Manager of the Qurum Branch at Bank Nizwa. Along with a series of presentations, they shared valuable perspectives on the continued role of Islamic finance in empowering entrepreneurs and further increasing sustainable economic growth across the nation.
