Bristol Myers Squibb Appoints Mayada Al-Ahmad as Gulf GM

Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), a global biopharmaceutical company, has appointed Mayada Al-Ahmad as General Manager of Saudi Arabia and Gulf Countries.

Mayada Al-Ahmad plans to continue develop BMS's pharmaceutical solutions through building strong relationships with the healthcare ecosystem and the authorities in the region, in her new position as head of BMS operations across Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Jordan.

Michelle is an experienced BMS leader who has worked for nearly four decades in BMS, she has been in the management of oncology, cardiology and commercial..

The experience spans many medical categories such as Oncology, Hematology, Cardiovascular, Neuroscience, and Diabetes. She has consistently been able to leverage her experience to ensure high-performance and highly functioning teams.

Mayada has gained extensive experience in various international markets, having served in management positions in the Middle East, Africa, Türkiye, Russia, and many other international locations. Mayada’s multi-faceted experience encompasses all areas, including commerce, strategy, market entry, and country management, allowing her to effectively manage complex organizations in fast-changing healthcare industries.

She is also known for her innovative approach towards putting patients at the center of everything, and has a proven history of developing highly productive teams and making strategic connections. Al-Ahmad is qualified from the University of Toronto and has extensive knowledge of the healthcare needs of the region as Bristol Myers Squibb moves into more parts of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf regions.
