Coco Gauff is once again making history, setting the world abuzz with her victory at the 2025 French Open. On June 7 in Paris, the 21-year-old sports star beat Aryna Sabalenka in a thrilling final 6-7, 6-2, 6-4, claiming her second Grand Slam victory and her 10th overall professional tennis win. The victory piled up $2.9 million in prize money for her, bringing the total to $27.3 million, as per Sportico.

Gauff's 2024 performance also clamped her position as the world's top-paid female athlete. She earned an impressive $30.4 million from tournament prizes and endorsements from top-of-the-line brands such as Naked Juice, Bose, Wheaties, Carol's Daughter, and Rolex.

In her victory, the Atlanta-born added a heartfelt message on Instagram, looking back at her journey and how she questioned herself after losing in the final of the French Open three years ago. "I thought my dreams were so close but would never happen," she confessed. But through a deeper introspection, she was able to find a new sense of belief in herself. "I realized that I can do it, and I refused to let those thoughts consume me."

Gauff's message was a strong reminder that doubt is a natural component of any journey, but it could be overcome with tenacity and inner strength. "The younger Coco would have thought I was crazy," she stated, "because that girl never questioned anything in her life, yesterday was a product of that. I pushed through and if I could, so can you."

Coco Gauff's win and message remain motivational to millions, demonstrating that she is not only a champion on the field but also a source of hope and motivation to individuals around the globe.
