Crystal Climer Named Premier Inc. CFO; to Oversee Global Finances

Crystal Climer has been named the Chief Financial Officer at Premier Inc., where she will be responsible for the company’s worldwide financial strategy, capital allocation, and overall financial operations.

This appointment is a major milestone in her decade-long tenure with the healthcare improvement company, during which she has moved up the ranks and played an integral part in the company’s financial governance structure.

Crystal began her tenure at Premier as a Senior Manager – Corporate Accounting and has moved up the ranks to assume senior leadership positions, including the role of Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer.

Throughout her tenure, she has been instrumental in improving financial management and operational rigor within the company. She successfully integrated 11 acquisitions, including the alignment of financial systems, controls, and reporting infrastructure.

She also led an initiative to restructure the company’s legal entities with the goal of improving tax efficiency and reporting, which has helped to ensure the company’s financial stability in the long run.

Prior to her appointment as CFO, Crystal was known for being a results-driven financial leader across different sectors.

She was also the CFO of Roush Yates Engines Racing Engines, where she optimized financial processes and was able to minimize the month-end close process from 12 days to only four days.

Her background also includes serving in senior leadership roles at BSN medical and Otto Environmental Systems, where she oversaw difficult financial environments and helped drive the growth of operations.

Crystal is also an active participant of Chief, a private community that aims to support women in reaching top leadership roles. This is in line with her personal efforts to promote diversity and representation in the company’s senior leadership.

With her experience in SEC reporting, SOX compliance, Workday ERP implementation, and financial due diligence, Crystal brings a unique set of skills to her new position as CFO.

As the company’s new CFO, she is now responsible for overseeing the global financial strategy of Premier Inc. and ensuring the company’s capital strategy and financial discipline at an executive level.
