Danitza Sanchez Named New President of Global Women Fresh Europe

• Global Women Fresh (GWF) has named Danitza Sánchez president of its European chapter

Global Women Fresh (GWF) has appointed Danitza Sánchez to be the President of their European Chapter. Global Women Fresh is an international organisation whose focus is on Women in the Fresh Produce and Agriculture Industry.

Danitza has 20 years of experience in Latin America and Europe, previously working for, Driscoll’s, and Camposol; she has been with Dole as the Director of Business Development since 2022.

Danitza’s extensive experience in Global Markets, Commercial Strategy and Cross-Cultural Leadership will be an asset to GWF as they continue to develop their work in Europe.

GWF founder Julie Escobar said Sánchez’s leadership style and industry background align with the goals of the organisation to build a strong global network of women within the produce sector.

In the opinion of Julie, founding member of GWF, the leadership style and industry background of Danitza are consistent with the mission of GWF in creating a global network of women within the produce sector.

Danitza will lead the USA's expansion of the GWF program which includes leadership development programs, partnerships, mentoring networks and events to increase the number of women participating in this industry. In addition, Sánchez will work with the regional leaders to support GWF's larger global agenda.

As she begins her new role, Sánchez expressed her eagerness to help GWF achieve its goal of improving visibility, opportunity and participation for women in the European fresh produce industry.

The appointment continues GWF's commitment to growing its International presence while supporting women leaders in Agriculture, Sustainability and Global Food Systems.
