DKSH Healthcare, a top healthcare business partner in the Asia-Pacific, has rolled out its third consecutive "Patient Purpose Day 2025" to enhance patient outcomes.

Hosted annually in September in multiple markets in connection with World Patient Safety Day, the 2025 event concentrated on the theme of "Equity in Women's Health."

The initiative involved a range of health and wellness activities to empower staff to become patient advocates and facilitate improved health outcomes for women.

The program is intended to enhance patient-centered care in 12 Asia-Pacific markets and Switzerland. The Journal of Women's Health states that almost three-quarters of diseases that most predominantly impact women are underfunded worldwide.

The Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Alliance stated that women continue to encounter gender-related barriers to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment; it estimated that for every three women, two of them will experience an NCD.

The World Economic Forum also stated in a 2023 survey that one in five women patients across the Asia-Pacific delayed health care due to family commitments.

DKSH is committed to overcoming barriers by providing awareness, access, and support for equity in women's health.

Throughout its 12 markets with participation, DKSH and its partners conducted educational and wellness activities that benefited thousands of patients.

Haylee Money, DKSH Healthcare Vice President of Human Resources Business Partner, pointed out that 36 percent of DKSH's senior leadership is made up of women, representing the company's overall commitment to gender equality within the organization and through its healthcare work.
