Elena Anfosso Joins Campari Group as CHRO, Effective July 2026

Elena Anfosso has been hired as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Campari Group and will come on board the company's Executive Team from July 2026. Her hiring underlines Campari Group's dedication to enhancing its people strategy, leadership skills, organizational culture, and global talent agenda as it looks forward to its international growth road.

Elena is equipped with over twenty years of experience in many leadership roles at global companies including human resources, business transformation, commercial operations, marketing, organizational development, and leadership effectiveness. Her broad international experience and demonstrating her effectiveness in leading large complex change programs are among her qualities that make her a valuable member of Campari Group's top management team.

Most recently, Elena was the Global HR Lead, Transformation at BAT. She was the one who led global transformational efforts of the entire business. Before this position, she was the Regional HR Director, Europe & Americas and Regional HR Director, Europe, where she implemented cross-market strategic people initiatives, and aided business transformation, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and workforce modernization. Prior to that, her role as HR & Inclusion Director, South Europe saw her driving diversity, inclusion, employee engagement, and organizational culture initiatives in the region.

Prior to joining BAT, Elena was with GSK Consumer Healthcare for three years and more during which she operated senior HR leadership roles including HR Director for Italy, Greece, and Israel. Doing this, she worked hand in hand with business leadership teams to bring about a culture change centered on innovation, performance, engagement, and trust. She was also a driving force for inclusion and diversity, digital transformation, employee development, and simplification initiatives across the organization. Before that, she was the Integration Manager for GSK and Novartis Consumer Health merger, in which she led transformation efforts crossing functions of HR, IT, supply chain, finance, and regulatory.

Elena dedicated a big part of her career to Novartis Consumer Health and during her time there, she was promoted several times to different commercial and leadership roles. Some of her positions were Head of Field Account Pharmacy Sales, European Category Marketing Head, South East Europe Marketing Manager, Group Brand Manager, and Senior Brand Manager. She ran marketing operations for the region, handled business portfolios in multiple countries, came up with category growth strategies, and was involved in mergers and acquisitions while acquiring strong expertise in business transformation, customer engagement, and commercial leadership.

At the beginning of her career, Elena worked for a year and a half at SC Johnson where she took marketing and sales leadership roles such as Brand Manager, Sales Budgeting Coordinator, Category Analyst, and Assistant Brand Manager. Such experiences gave her a solid foundation in the commercial and operational parts of the business which, in turn, facilitated her success in leading a business and HR transformation. Her first job was in procurement as a Buyer at Auchan where she developed skills in negotiations, commercial planning and retail operations.
