Entelect, the top technology consultancy, has unveiled the launch of "Her Circle," the newest expansion of its ElevateHer initiative.
This female-led program unites 13 rising and accomplished women leaders for an immersive professional growth experience.
Expanding on the success of ElevateHer's mentorship programme—which already brought together many mentor-mentee pairs throughout the organisation—Her Circle solidifies Entelect's support of building a diverse workplace where women can succeed at all levels.
"Her Circle represents our conviction that lasting change results from empowering the future generation of women with new insights and thoughts to inform the type of organisation we are building," stated Edinah Lidonde, Development Manager at Entelect and ElevateHer facilitator.
The move is timely for South Africa's tech industry, where women make up only 23 percent of technology positions (Women in Tech ZA).
Although Entelect has made some headway, with 24 percent of its staff and 36.5 percent of its graduate cohort being female, the firm sees the ongoing need for specific programmes to fast-track women's advancement into management.
Her Circle contains four guided sessions spread over some months, each specifically aimed at building core leadership capabilities:
“We designed Her Circle to go beyond traditional training,” said Bianca Henriksen, People Operations Lead and programme facilitator. “By blending masterclasses, dialogue circles, and experiential learning, we’re creating a platform for reflection and practical application that leads to measurable impact.”
Her Circle is one of Entelect's initiatives to promote women in the workplace. Entelect has also launched nursing mother facilities, properly designed re-induction for women coming back from maternity leave, and programs to raise visibility of women leaders as role models.
